Across 2025, we saw a number of incredible achievements, innovations and contributions from the experts that make up the Trusted Computing Group (TCG). In recognition of these efforts, we held our annual awards ceremony in Philadelphia last October as part of our Fall Members Meeting.
Each year we are immensely proud of our members for the remarkable service they offer us. TCG reflects a community driven by passion, dedication and expertise, and these awards present us with the chance to recognise key contributors within our ecosystem. So without further ado, here are the winners of our 2025 awards:
Our 2026 Contributor Advisor
As part of the proceedings, the TCG Board of Directors was delighted to announce Joseph Chen (ULINK) would continue to support their efforts as the 2026 Contributor Advisor. Joseph leads the development of the TCG test suite and certification in ULINK – which has developed the Opal Family Certification test suites, certified by our Storage Work Group as the compliance test lab. Additionally, Joseph has also overseen the development of other testing suites such as the TCG Opal Test Cases 1.0, Enterprise, and Opal Application Note.
Our 2025 Key Contributors
The ceremony kicked off in full by celebrating several significant contributors within the TCG, nominated by the Board and their fellow peers for their demonstrable efforts within our organisation in 2025.
Winners in this category included Eric Hibbard (Samsung) for his contributions to the Storage Work Group – working on the Key Per I/O specification, creating the test case specification draft, as well as his other contributions and security knowledge which has made the Work Group very effective. We also awarded Michael Eckel (Fraunhofer SIT), owing to his role as an active and influential contributor to TCG. Not only has he elevated the Network Equipment Work Group from a Sub-Work Group, but he has been the editor of a number of specifications, guidance docs and external editorial contributions across the year.
Fabien Arrive (ST Microelectronics) was also recognised in part for his major contributions to the TPM Work Group in extending cryptographic services, while in the Vehicle Services Work Group, his participation was critical as the liaison with the ISO/TC 22/SC 31/JWG1. For his exceptional leadership and dedication to the role of Co-Chair of the Vehicle Services Work Group throughout last year – and for his efforts to drive collaboration across the automotive security ecosystem – Eoin Carroll (Toyota) also won an award in this category.
Another winner was John Matthews (Solidigm), the Co-Chair of the Storage Work Group, for his contributions in developing and updating specifications, including Key Per IO and MEK MPA. For his work within the TCG’s Vulnerability Response Team, Liran Perez was also a worthy Key Contributor for 2025.
Last but certainly not least, we also recognised Dr. Kuniyasu Suzaki (Professor at Institute Information Security) and Matthew Yang (HPE). Professor Suzaki has consistently created opportunities for students to engage with our technologies, while being a significant contributor to our Japanese Regional Forum (JRF)’s ongoing activities. Matthew’s invaluable contributions to TCG, including those in his role as Co-Chair of the Vulnerability Response Team, have made him a key figure in developing procedures and guidance.
Our 2025 Leadership Award Winners
The Leadership Award recognizes individuals who are adept leaders and work collaboratively and effectively across TCG to advance our mission. In 2025, we awarded Ga-Wai Chin (Infineon) for her extensive and critical contributions to both the Server and Infrastructure Work Groups, alongside her work for TCG as a whole. Ga-Wai has been a leader within the organization for many years, and her expertise is exemplified by documents such as TCG-TPM Communication over SPDM Secure Session, in which she drove its development from the beginning, and served as the key editor throughout. The technical challenges of this specification required a substantial effort to generate consensus, and it’s a testament to Ga-Wai’s leadership and technical skills that she managed to drive this to completion.
Our second Leadership Award winner was Guy Fedorkow (HPE). Guy consistently demonstrates leadership within TCG, having served us for many years, and provides significant technical contributions in his role as a subject matter expert. He continues to play a key role in strengthening our organization’s connection with the U.S. Government, while driving the development of several key documents. These include the Infrastructure Work Group’s Attestation whitepaper – which he led and also brought in IETF to ensure alignment across organisations – and the Network Equipment Work Group’s guidance document. Guy also offered key support to the Infrastructure Work Group when developing its TPM 2.0 Keys for Device Identity and Attestation document too.
Our 2025 Frank Molsberry Distinguished Service Award Winner
The Frank Molsberry Distinguished Service Award is considered the greatest honor bestowed by our organization. Named after Frank Molsberry, a longstanding member who served on the TCG Board with exceptional dedication and distinction, the Award recognizes the members who have provided a substantial body of work over an extended period of time. The winner has to demonstrate a sustained, ongoing commitment to TCG’s mission and goals, which helps our organisation to continue evolving and thriving.
We were delighted to award Chris Fenner (Google) with this award in 2025. Chris continues to be a major contributor TPM Work Group specifications, guidance documents, and the TPM library code, and actively promotes his and other features. Not only is he willing to support and foster ideas within the Work Group, but he implements them too!
His commitment to sharing ideas, concepts, and training on new algorithms and features is well known, and in his role as Co-Chair, he has been responsible for creating a pleasant, positive environment that gives space and time for everyone to express their opinion, even if it differs from his own. The example he sets in this regard has led to a plural, constructive, efficient and open atmosphere which fosters progression. The Work Group’s output speakers for itself, especially the advancements made in both the library specification, and the guidance documents they have created.
Congratulations to our winners
TCG would like to thank all award winners for their contributions over the past year and acknowledge all nominees for their continued service.
We would also like to thank everyone within the organization who found the time to nominate their peers for their outstanding work. We look forward to awarding the 2026 contributors later this year.
Membership in the Trusted Computing Group is your key to participating with fellow industry stakeholders in the quest to develop and promote trusted computing technologies.
Standards-based Trusted Computing technologies developed by TCG members now are deployed in enterprise systems, storage systems, networks, embedded systems, and mobile devices and can help secure cloud computing and virtualized systems.
Trusted Computing Group announced that its TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) Library Specification was approved as a formal international standard under ISO/IEC (the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission). TCG has 90+ specifications and guidance documents to help build a trusted computing environment.
