TCG Trusted Network Communications for Mobile Platforms Version 1.0 Revision 28
Mobile platforms face many of the same threats that target traditional workstations and laptops, and their software is subject to similar vulnerabilities that attract malicious activity. Insecure platforms threaten the security and privacy of device owners and users. In addition, insecure platforms can be vectors for attack on the mobile networks to which they are connected. Thus, mobile network operators and service providers need to detect and respond to insecure or otherwise compromised devices, for the protection of both their users and their own services. This capability requires a means to measure the health of a mobile platform and to convey the measurement to an authorized party for evaluation before allowing the platform to access resources. This white paper describes how TCG Mobile Platform and Trusted Network Communications specifications integrate on mobile platforms to address this problem.
