TCG and Members Mocana and Wibu-Systems will Demonstrate IoT Security at IoT Solutions World Congress October 16-18, 2018

PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 25, 2018Trusted Computing Group (@TrustedComputin) with members Mocana and Wibu-Systems will demonstrate real-world solutions for IoT security at the IoT Solutions World Congress, October 16-18, in Fira Barcelona, Stand D485.

Mocana will demonstrate the use of the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to protect industrial control systems (ICS) and the IoT from cyberattacks, in which hackers are able to bypass network defenses and compromise devices with weak authentication. In the demonstration, attendees will learn about common attack vectors on industrial IoT equipment and how defend against them by implementing the Trusted Platform Module 2.0 technologies to ensure the highest level of authentication assurance using a hardware-based, cryptographic root of trust.

Wibu-Systems will demonstrate protecting IP in the IoT. As value in the IoT- powered supply chain is being transferred from hardware to software, the number of counterfeiting, tampering, and espionage incidents is on the rise, while countries’ GDP is eroded by product, know-how, and data piracy. Wibu-Systems’ CodeMeter encrypts software, firmware, and data; cryptographic keys are stored in secure hardware elements (dongles, memory cards, ASICs, or TPMs). The software license lifecycle management can also be seamlessly integrated in back office processes to further enhance the monetization process and significantly reduce the bottom-line costs related to logistic and service aspects.

TCG also will offer implementation and information about using the TPM, TCG Software Stack, Device Identifier Composition Engine (DICE) and its other technologies to protect IOT data, devices and networks. The organization offers a number of resources for developers and designers at develop.trustedcomputinggroup.org.
