PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 2, 2016 – Trusted Computing Group and its members will demonstrate securing the Internet of Things with foundational trust at the Dec. 6-8, 2016 Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) Silicon Valley, San Jose, Calif.

In Booth 1820, Mocana will show implementation of TPM security specifications in a small form-factor computing system with Mocana software modules.  The demo will show secure communications from a browser to an embedded Web server, using a TPM-generated and protected key, automated certification of the key, and remote attestation of the TPM-based device with trust measurements.

Cisco, Infineon and HSR (Technical University of Rapperswil, Switzerland) will demonstrate a deployment of IoT sensors and actuators, such as those typically found in a smart building, securely managed by a cloud-based application. TCG standards are shown extending OpenSSL authentication. Using the TPM, fake or infected servers, gateways and sensors are blocked.

Two member experts from TCG also will speak to attendees in conference sessions. Juniper Networks Distinguished Engineer Guy Fedorkow will address developing more secure network equipment on Dec. 8, 2016 from 8:00 – 8:45 a.m.  Steve Hanna, Infineon principal engineer, will address IoT security in a session, “IoT Security: One Size Does Not Fit All,” Dec. 8, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.
